Ukraine power operator announces power cuts after Russian strikes

Kyiv, Ukraine, Sept 30, 2026 (AFP) AFP

Ukraine's energy company on Wednesday said it had made some emergency power cuts in Kyiv after Russia hit the country's infrastructure in a wave of deadly drone and missile strikes.

"Emergency power outages have been implemented, following a directive from Ukrenergo," said DTEK, referring to the national grid operator.
